McComb Police Department Unveils tip411 Anonymous Tip Tool to Fight Crime

McComb PD Badge

McComb, MS Police Department (20 sworn officers) has partnered with tip411, a powerful crime-fighting tool used in over 2,000 communities, to reduce crime and improve community engagement.

Through the tool, McComb PD helps residents connect directly to the agency to find information, view alerts, and submit tips directly from their phone.

“The mission of the McComb Police Department is to improve the quality of life in our city, but this goal will only be accomplished through the cooperative efforts of the police department and the community,” said McComb Police Chief Juan Cloy. “By working together, we can maintain the peace, provide safety and security for our citizens and reduce the fear of crime. We believe our new McComb MS PD app from tip411 will help us do just that by working together with our community members.”

The new McComb MS PD app enables the public to share an anonymous tip with police and lets officers respond back to the individual to create an anonymous two-way conversation.

“We’ve listened to feedback from partners like McComb Police and have built a more advanced and innovative product to help departments better engage their communities,” said tip411 President Terry Halsch. “The McComb MS PD app, powered by tip411, will greatly improve the public’s access to agency alerts, social media channels, important information, and more to help fight crime.”

The public can submit anonymous tips to the McComb Police Department by texting “MCCOMBPD” and the tip information to 847411. The public can also use the MCCOMBPD Tip mobile app, powered by tip411, to view community alerts and submit anonymous tips. The MCCOMBPD Tip app can be downloaded for free at the iTunes and Google Play App Store.
